About the book

As the case in most languages, there is significant difference between written and spoken Arabic. In formal circumstances like television or radio presentations, official speeches, and sermons in mosques. Modern standard Arabic, which closely matches the written Arabic, is standard throughout the Arab world. It is taught in schools. Colloquial dialects, on the other hand vary from country to country and in some case from region to region
Non Arabs are usually taught the Arabic dialect of the country in which they reside, since it is what the majority of the inhabitants speak. Though there will be Arabs from other countries present, their dialects are not taught, since they present a minority. However, in the emirates, the local inhabitants represent only 20% of the population. Most Arabs who work in companies, teach in school and appear in television are from mead east, Egypt , North Africa …
Consequently, the local dialect is not the most common dialect used. Its use tends to be restricted to the conversation between locals. Furthermore; many of the peculiarities of the local dialect are not understood by Arabs in most part of the world. Only those who live among emirates became familiar with their dialect
The book is combination of the most commonly used dialects, with occasional reference to local preferences. Arabic scripts as well as its translation are used throughout the  book. Consequently, some one with absolutely no Arabic background may use this text. The book can be used as a self study material as,
It has three stages in presenting the subjects
1) In Arabic for those who knew Arabic script
2) Phonetics for those with absolutely no Arabic background
3) In English (sentences, vocabulary are translated into English)
